Clean Up Sticky Residue

I grabbed a towel to clean it up but it was sooo sticky and i was in a bit of a rush to get somewhere.

Scratch away the residue with your fingers or something plastic after you let it soak. Once it gets sticky and starts to cure the paper towel will stick to the resin. If this method doesn t remove the sticky buildup completely move on to a product made specifically for cleaning wood.

Many commercial stain removers can work wonders so try soaking the area thoroughly letting it sit and then laundering on a gentle cycle. If the risk of damage is too great to attack the residue with a scraper the other option is to apply a solvent to break down the adhesive properties so you can wipe the residue off. Give it a final wipe with a clean cloth and you re done. Heat the oven to 350 degrees f.

I promised myself i would clean it up the next day. We were having friends over for dinner that evening so i hid the mess by placing a kitchen towel at the bottom of the drawer and moved on. Clean up as much as you possibly can while the resin is still wet. Keep re applying on the rubber and rubbing with a cloth.

You can go in. Dissolve the residue with rubbing alcohol vodka or vinegar. You should then power up the part and ensure it still works ok.
